ARTIST BIO
Short Bio:
Described as “a quiet yet depthless power, and a timeless kind soul,” the Michigan-born, Nashville-based artist Zoe Ny alchemizes soul and folk/rock into what she calls Soft-Goth Americana.
Long Bio:
Early Days: Growing up in the midwestern woods, Zoe Ny began writing poetry and singing as a young girl. Her early performances took place on street corners and at festivals in the Detroit area, eventually landing her regular spots at 20 Front Street, a beloved independent listening room in Lake Orion. There, she opened for acclaimed Americana acts such as Liz Longley, Clem Snide, Reina Del Cid, Chris Trapper, and Matt Brown, later headlining multiple sold-out shows of her own.
The Journey: Ny was awarded both The World Tour Scholarship and The Berklee Grant to study Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. She moved to Nashville in 2022 and quickly immersed herself in the city’s independent music scene, performing at venues including The 5 Spot, The Underdog, and The End. Her cinematic, western single “Highway,” produced by Steve Saputo and Bryan Pope, earned over 26,000 streams in its first few months.
Now: Zoe Ny is currently recording at Peptalk Studio with producer Micah Tawlks. Their first two singles, “What it’s All About” and “The Middle of the West,” are available now on all streaming platforms.
